Day 1 – Sagres

Today you arrive in Portugal. You'll receive more information on the airport transfer in our WhatsApp group the week before the trip starts. We’ll pick you up from the airport and settle into our accommodation, getting ready for an exciting week of surfing ahead.

Day 1

Day 2 – Sagres

Wake up to the sound of the Atlantic! This morning we hit the waves for our first surf lesson. Whether you're a complete beginner or have surfed before, the instructors will make sure you're catching waves and having fun. The Algarve's consistent swells and warm water make it one of Europe's best surf destinations. After working up an appetite in the ocean, the afternoon is yours to discover the area's natural beauty. In the evening we’ll watch a stunning beach sunset together before heading out to dinner.

Day 2

Day 3 – Sagres

Another morning, another surf session! We head back to the waves to practice what we learned yesterday and hopefully catch even more rides. After our surf lesson, in the afternoon we explore the coast around Sagres. We are gonna visit the iconic Fortaleza de Sagres with its stunning clifftop views, and head to Cabo de São Vicente - the southwesternmost point of mainland Europe. Watch the sunset from the dramatic cliffs and feel like you're at the edge of the world.

Day 3

Day 4 – Sagres

After a morning Yoga session, we’ll head out to explore some of the pretty coastal towns along Algarve’s coast. We’ll spend the day town hopping and exploring Algarve’s dramatic cliffs. You'll have time to wander the traditional streets, browse local shops, and get a feel for authentic Portuguese coastal life. In the evening, we'll enjoy dinner together at a local restaurant.

Day 4

Day 5 – Sagres

Third surf lesson today! After our surf lesson, we'll discover the area's natural beauty. We'll take you to some stunning beaches and secret rock pools where you can swim, relax, and soak up the sun away from the crowds.

Day 5

Day 6 – Sagres

Back to the waves for our fourth surf lesson! You're becoming a proper surfer now. fter surfing, we'll spend the afternoon discovering more of the area's natural beauty. We could take a boat tour from Sagres to explore the sea caves and grottos from the water, or try kayaking along the dramatic coastline. Alternatively, relax at secluded beaches like Praia da Ingrina or Praia do Martinhal and swim in the clear Atlantic waters away from the crowds.

Day 6

Day 7 – Sagres

Today we'll take a break from surfing and see some dolphins. We'll head out by boat, either in the morning or afternoon, depending on conditions. The other half of the day we'll enjoy the beaches together and relax before our last surf lesson tomorrow.

Day 7

Day 8 – Sagres

Final surf lesson today - time to show off everything you've learned! After one last session in the Atlantic, we'll have the afternoon grab any final souvenirs from the local surf shops, and maybe take a last walk along the cliffs. The evening we watch a final sunset at the beach and enjoy goodbye dinner.

Day 8

Day 9 – Sagres

This is goodbye! Today you depart at any time. Depending on your flight schedule, you might have time for a final morning walk along the beach or one last coffee overlooking the ocean. We'll arrange your airport transfer based on your departure time.

  • Of course! You can sign up for our trips whether you are solo or with a group of friends. Our groups are a mix of open-minded people, who usually become friends within a second.

  • As people will join our tour from different parts of the world, we decided it is easier to not include the flights in the tour. We are happy to help you find the best flight deal for your trip. Just let us know in the notes section when booking the tour and we will get in touch with you to help you find your flights. In general, we usually use Skyscanner to find the best deals.

  • Portugal is part of the Schengen Area. If you hold a passport from the EU, EEA, or many other countries including the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK, you can enter visa-free for up to 90 days within a 180-day period. However, visa requirements vary by nationality, so please check the official Portuguese immigration website or contact your nearest Portuguese embassy to confirm your specific requirements.

  • Yes, it is obligatory for everyone who joins us to have travel insurance before departing. We can help you find the right travel insurance for you. Just contact us via Email or WhatsApp.

  • When you book your flight, let us know your flight number and the time you arrive as soon as possible. That way we can stay on track for any delays of your flight. When you arrive at Lisbon airport, one of us will be there to welcome you and bring you to the car that will take you to the accommodation. There will also be one of us to help you with the check-in.

  • To make the trip easier for you, a backpack or duffle bag is recommended. We'll be traveling through different regions of Portugal with a private minivan, and flexible luggage makes transitions smoother. Ideally, this bag should not be bigger than 40L, which is also hand luggage size and will save you some money on your flight to Portugal.

  • Portugal is an incredibly beautiful country with diverse landscapes from beaches to mountains, so you will have some longer drives, for example between Lisbon and Sagres or Porto to Gerês. But we promise: every journey is totally worth it and we'll make plenty of stops along the way to take in the stunning scenery!

  • We are going to stay at hostels and guesthouses because of the more social atmosphere. Unless you book private accommodation, you will be in shared rooms with mainly private bathrooms and only with people from our group. (The room capacity may differ depending on the place we're staying at). If you want to know more about the accommodation, just contact us via Email or WhatsApp.

  • Sure, just get in touch via Email or WhatsApp and we can send you a list of the accommodations. In very rare cases it might happen though that we will stay at another place. If you wish, we can also inform you about any changes, if they come up.

  • Portugal is one of the safest countries in Europe and the world to travel. As everywhere in the world it is important that you take the usual safety precautions. Especially in bigger cities like Lisbon and Porto, be mindful of your belongings as there is always a small risk of pickpocketing in tourist areas.

  • Yes! Portugal has excellent quality tap water that is perfectly safe to drink throughout the country. You can refill your water bottle from taps to stay hydrated and reduce plastic waste.
