We'll make our way to Belém, home to the iconic Belém Tower and Jerónimos Monastery. Day 3 – Sagres
After breakfast, we say goodbye to Lisbon and start our journey south. We'll make our way towards Sagres along the stunning Costa Vicentina. The drive itself is about 4.5 hours, but we'll be making stops along the way to take in the dramatic coastal scenery and stretch our legs at some hidden viewpoints. The Algarve's consistent swells and warm water make it one of Europe's best surf destinations. After working up an appetite in the ocean, the afternoon is yours to discover the area's natural beauty. On our way from Óbidos to the historic village, we make a special stop at a traditional pastry shop in a small town that once won the award for best pastéis de nata in Portugal.
