why travel with daTerra?

spoiler: you won’t regret it

how it started

We've been running trips through South America with ATAW for years, and now it's time to bring that same energy to Portugal.
Portugal is home for Diogo, and we've spent countless weekends discovering hidden beaches, mountain trails, and the kind of local spots that don't make it into travel guides. These are experiences worth sharing.
daTerra is our way of showing you the Portugal we know - not the crowded viewpoints and tourist menus, but the real thing. The swimming spots locals keep quiet about. The family restaurants where the menu is whatever's cooking that day. The waves we surf, the hiking trails we love, and the medieval villages that make Portugal unforgettable.
Small groups, authentic moments, and the kind of trip that sticks with you long after you're home.
We hope to see you on one of our trips.

small groups, big vibes

  • Maximum 12 travellers per trip. You'll actually get to know everyone.
  • Most people join solo and leave with new friends
  • WhatsApp group chat starts before you even land - conversations flow from day one
  • We kick off every trip with a welcome dinner to break the ice immediately

the Portugal others don't see

We are showing you our Portugal.
  • Hidden mountain pools that locals swim in, medieval villages you won't find on Google
  • Traditional tile workshops with artisans, wine tasting at family vineyards, lunch spots with no English menu
  • Routes we've driven dozens of times, with our friends and now with you
  • Us, who really want to share our home with you

everything sorted, nothing hidden

  • The price you see is what you pay. No surprises, no add-ons.
  • Accommodation, activities, most meals, private transport between cities - it's all included
  • 24/7 support via WhatsApp before, during and after your trip
  • Help finding flights, sorting visas, and figuring out what to pack
  • Airport transfers on arrival and departure - someone's always there to meet you
  • Small group means flexible itinerary - if the weather's better tomorrow, we adjust
  • We speak English, Portuguese, Spanish and German fluently

real connections, lasting friendships

We're not just organising trips - we're bringing people together.
  • Many of our travellers stay in touch after the trip ends
  • Small group size means genuine connections, not surface-level chat
  • Shared experiences build bonds fast - you'll feel like old friends by day three
  • Solo travellers welcome (and honestly - that's who we are too)
  • Post-trip reunions happen organically - we've seen our groups meet up all over the world
  • The kind of trip where you're already planning the next one together
